I’ve repeatedly meant to start writing to simply put throughts to ‘paper’. While I find it very easy when working on specific projects to get from point A to point B, and created functional documentation, I’ve always had a hard time writing with no defined goal in sight.
Now that many businesses have been forced to close, I’m left with free time. Thankfully, due to the nature of my work, I am still working regular hours.
Many people in my area are self-isolated, and helping prevent the spread by creating a social distance. Various aspects of our system are already easily inundated on a daily basis. The pandemic of COVID-19 has stressed the system even more. Without immediate radical changes of daily behavior, we extend the length of recovery from this crisis. People will chafe with change, but actions like social distancing are necessary to reduce the load on our system.
While there have been many instances of people showing how selfish and opportunistic they are, there has also been a larger show of the community supporting each other.
I guess I can introduce myself. I’m Craig. I work in both the private and public safety sectors. Disaster response and security have always been passions of mine. I keep myself active and am always learning.
This blog will, as anything does, change over time. It will be various musings on things, and I aim to have references that people may find useful.
